The Helo-Quad Pack of portable battery powered strobes is
specifically designed for Medivac and emergency helicopter landing markings.
When deployed, each unit will denote the corners of the designated landing
location.
The "Helo-Quad" Pack is made up of 4 individual clear strobe lights, each
powered by 2 "D" cell batteries in a sturdy caddy that can easily be stored in a
vehicle and deployed on a moments notice. It features an external push button
on/off switch, magnetic base and hanging rope cord. These strobes are waterproof
and emit a double flash clear white signal. It has a flash rate of 60 double
flashes per minute and average flash time of 40-50 hours using (2) "D" cell
alkaline batteries.
Their wide base and low center of gravity make them very stable markers. Each
measures 4'' diameter x 5-1/2'' overall height, and weigh 1.1 lbs (with
batteries). The Fresnel lens defuses the light which radiates 360 horizontally,
180 vertically and can be seen for more than 1 mile from the air.
